So I ubuntu didn't work well for me for whatever reason. So I came across a linux mint distro. Basically an even more simplified ubuntu. Good for someone like me who knows almost next to nothing about it.
It installs like ubuntu but enables all the extras. The codecs were installed, came with...
Just wanted to ask some general questions from you linux guys.
I typically use the computer for work stuff, pay bills, get info from the internet and play occasional games. Right now I am using ubuntu 7.1.
Problem I have with the system is:
-it crashes alot, windows rarley crashes for me...
I'm going to try and use Ubuntu for some work applications. I have the Windows part taken care of with wine.
One of the programs that we use is older and still DOS based. So I am looking for a good DOS emulator that can run this. Looking around I came across DOSbox. I fired it up on my...
Lets say I bought 500 shares of some Delphi stock for 0.125 a peice. What happens when they emerge from being bankrupt? Do I actually get a gain when the price shoots up?
Wal-Mart dumps HD DVDs to back Blu-ray - Yahoo! News
Netflix, Blockbuster, Disney and Best Buy have switched, HD-DVD is now the old beta format.

Pioneer - 8x Internal Blu-ray Disc Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive - BDC-2202B5PK
It doesn't write br discs, just dvd and cd. But thought I'd post it before the sale is over. Enjoy.
Compy does this since I reinstalled windows, and never did this before, so I'm pretty sure it's not hardware related.
Anytime I do anything multimedia related, whether it be games, a dvd, a video on the harddrive it does this: every 5 mins or so the video will stop and then speed back up...
From what I gather, other than the accident, caused all the traffic to go to the side streets, and cause ten more minor accidents. Took me 2 1/2 hours to drive my usual 20 mile commute. Raleigh desperately needs more highways.

This was done probably a year ago and I want to see what has changed. I got my hi def tv not to long ago and am looking to see what most of you would get for a player. My Time Warner hi-def dvr is the only thing I have that can take advantage of it.
I am not getting the dual format, $1100 is...

Under /dev/disk they no longer show up. The raid controller works, and the drives work ok from there. I use dmraid, and when that comes up it shows three drives, so I...
Anyone here ever sign one of these things? Anyone ever try to get another job and not tell their old employer? Seems kinda scary that I can't get a job again with what I am doing without moving a couple of states away.
My work uses Citrix to connect to thier applications, ie: Outlook and our database program. Anybody tried this with Linux? I'm thinking about trying another install but I don't think those applications work work right?
Anyone here good at math? I havn't used the quadratic equation in years and having a heck of a time trying to solve this.
The basic equation:
Rt=Ro * [1 + AT + BT^2]
I am trying to solve for T. I know Rt, Ro, A and B
If I simplified correctly:
Rt=RoBT^2 + RoAT + Ro
I would then take Ro and...
...missing these parts so I bought them. I tried to make my own and it squeeks a little. I will sell these with the pedal assembly for $50 shipped.
