i guarantee that there is like a little depressor button or something somewhere and its just stuck open from frost or ice. Just go play with it so it shuts off

MthaFuknGreen, there should be a lever in your trunk the tells the light that the trunk is open or closed. If it gunked up it might be stuck open and your light will think the trunk is open when its not. Check all around for some kind of lever or switch that would make the light come on and...

I ordered a new alt on ebay for $100, and installed it myself. Fixed my problem and my car is good as new. all for only 100 not bad imo.

i checked the terminals. The negative one is on tight, but the positive one is kinda loose. I can twist it around on the prong. I'll have to tighten it. And yes the car started before when i jumped it. I haven't tried jumping it so far since i had it towed home. By the way, Merry Chrismas
