i'd suggest going with just a gsr shortblock. buy one with bad rings, put in ITR pistons and bolt that to your b16a head. then...go with cams and mill the head and you'll make 175whp+.

to answer your question... you will want to use the longblock from the 98, and the engine harness from the blown motor. you'll have to use the obd1 injectors, obd1 wiring harness and possibly the alternator although you'll have to see if it plugs in. you'll have to keep the obd1 distributor...
