should i sleeve my ls block to run 18psi? Or should I just clean it up, hone, pistons/rods, itr water pump & oil pump? Asking because i do not plan on running more than 18psi max with a 60trim turbo using a stock b16 head.
your crazy, you make so much more power with vtec. ls/vtec turbo with stock b16 head and sleeved/built bottom end 9.0:1 compression made 420whp with a 60trim and hondata ONLY on 13psi. You will make 300whp with just built LS so its worth it to go vtec.
ok that explains it =) and im trying to keep in under 10k for the build and turbo setup. Full-Race is what I will go with =) question is, should i go bigger than a 60 trim?
I am looking to make around 500whp on a built ls/vtec motor with 9.0:1 compression. I am un-sure of what turbo/manifold to go with. Full-Race kits are expensive but I see 50trim kits on e-bay for like 700-1000 bucks.... t3/4 50 trim turbos....how bad are they for them to be so cheap? I was...
my terminology is pretty self explanatory here on the east coast. I am not sure where you are from but around here there are nitrous kits reffered to as "dry" or "wet"
im not going to run a dry kit...foggers are wet kits, similiar to the direct port 4-fogger systems but it only has 1 nozzle which mixes fuel and nitrous together. hence "single fogger"
no swap in the bubble yet, so i will need to get all needed parts to swap out the motors. ive done all this before just looking for advice on the motor build-up. ive went built boost and na before, na multiple times with ls/vtec but never nitrous. just looking for nitrous info ...
machine shop is doing the build, i am doing the rest. i like NA but I want more than 220whp. so i figured nitrous would be best way to go. i would like to keep it stock bore but maybe re-sleeve and go bigger if neccessary
okaye this is something ive never done before so I am coming here for some answers and to see if anyone else has run setups similiar...
I want to build an all motor high compression gs-r or ls/vtec BUT I want to spray 100-150 shot without toasting the motor. I do know I have to retard the...
check oil pressure, clean out the solenoid and test the vtec solenoid. make sure its live. if all else fails than the computer might not have vtec wired into the harness.
whoa...i thought if you have the jumper harness you dont need to change anything. could be wrong but im almost positive. i had a 99 b16a2 in my ek hatch and i ran an obd2a-obd1 jumper with a p72 and i had no check engine ... nothin
africa? lmao ... b16a2 is USDM ONLY. comes in 99-00 honda civic si. the head is a pr3 which IS the same casting as a type-r head minus the mild hand port and beefier valve-train + cams. DONE DEAL.
well im waiting for my tuner to install the crome and do a quick street tune on the dyno. im positive the program on that ecu is junk. car runs too rich and i think also the valve seals are not good anymore. Thanks...
I have a 94 integra with a b18b1 block and a jdm b16 head. the motor is all stock with the b16 cams. The motor pulls hard in vtec, but sometimes (not all the time), it will blow out smoke really bad from the exhaust. I just did an oil change with 5W30 half synthetic motor oil. When it...
Ok. In order for me to use the obd2b p2t ecu (99-00 civic si) without throwing the codes above, I will need to wire all those sensors to the ecu? they all seem to be wiring issues. Does my stock 97 civic cx harness have anything wired into them already? I dont want to take it to a shop and...
