would it be worth installing a clutch and flywheel myself or paying a shop to do it. i don't have much experience i think i can do it. just might take a while. i don't know how much shops usually charge for that. also, does anyone have any experience with polyurethane bushing kits? like are they...
"the h23's suck balls from my experience though, the bottom ends do not hold up to a beating very well... "
I've got an h23 in mine and it's held up fine and it's pretty stout for what it is as you can see by my signature(IMO). It's got 107xxx and counting hard. But I guess it all depends cuz...
Depends on what you want. the 3rd gen preludes are lighter than the 4th and 5th gens but they aren't as light as the before mentioned crx and civics. i know a guy that swapped a h22 in a 3rd gen lude and it was quick. i think he spent about 5 grand to do it cuz i think they had to convert it to...
Hi,
I'm going to do some suspension upgrading on my prelude and I have some questions. I think I'm going to get a polyurethane bushing kit, Suspension Techniques front/rear sway bars, Eibach Sportline springs, and either the KYB AGX adjustable shocks or just the GR-2's. The AGX costs about $84 a...
I've got a '92 Accord Ex (F22 w/ 5 speed) with 200,000 miles on it. It's just a beat around car but sometimes it won't start. It tries to start but won't turn over. It's not the battery so I thought it might be the starter, but it doesn't struggle when it tries to start. My girlfriend's dad says...
This may be a simple, ignorant question but are cams for the H22 interchangable with the H23. Crower makes stock H22 cams but I don't know if that'd be a good idea to use. If you have any cam spec suggestions for a basic bolt-on H23 that would be helpful. I'd prefer not to have to upgrade the...
Thanks for the response. I have thought about maybe dropping a JDM H22 in there but right now I don't need to spend that kind of $ cuz I'm 19 and have a 7 month baby girl but that's a possibility down the road. About the TB, wouldn't 70MM be a little big for a NA application? I would think that...
I am currently pondering what I should do next. I have basic bolt-ons and have advanced the timing on my Prelude. I would like to keep the internals stock and keep it reliable but I would like to squeeze a little more power out of her. I don't know if I should upgrade the ECU or not. I've also...
Sorry for my stupidity but I was wanting to see if anyone could help explain the basics of upgrading ECU's or chipping. I've always seen ECU upgrades for sale on ebay but I just thought they were overated and cheap ripoffs. I have a '95 Prelude SE and I've advanced the timing (which made a good...
I have a 1995 Prelude Special Edition with the H23 motor. I am curious about stroking this bitch later on down the road so I am just trying to see if it is a plausible route to go or not. I'd like to do a bad ass NA setup with it fully built and stroked to maybe 2.4 or 2.6 liters. Maybe some...
Are Spec clutches any good? I've found a Spec stage 2 on horspowerfreaks.com for $300. The best price I could find on CM stage 3 was around $450 so I think if I get a good response about Spec I'll go with that and a Fidanza flywheel.
Thanks for the response. I've looked at CM Stage 1,2,3 but they all seem to be $375-$475. Does anyone know of any good sources (price-wise and reputation-wise) to buy clutches and flywheels? I don't want to pay out the ass for this stuff but I don't want to buy shitty shit.
I have a '95 Prelude SE and I am researching aftermarket clutches and flywheels for it. I was hoping ya'll would have some advice or personal experiences with different clutches/flywheels and have some suggestions for me. My car is daily driven and has I/H/E and ran a 10.0 @ 71 MPH in the 1/8...
