ABS light is on and don't know why

alright well the abs light in my prelude just started coming on after a couple minutes of driving. all of a sudden it just started doing it every time i drive the car so i can't really think of any causes. i checked the fuse and it looked fine and i checked the fluid levels and they looked good...

    h22 stroking?

it'd put you way up there i would say. maybe 12.5 or 13:1. i think the h23 crank is around 5mm longer than the h22. the type-s pistons are slightly taller too so i would just be worried about it clearing the head. just something to think about.

Need advice for noob driving technique

some other tips for launching when you're racing is learning to "feather" the throttle and clutch. another term is slipping the clutch. usually at the track in my prelude i'll hold it between 3k and 3.5k rpm's. then let the clutch out in a slightly controlled manner though not dumping it. if you...

Yay or Nay on the BFGoodrich g-force's?

what would you recommend then? i'm also looking at the yokohama es100's for $78 a tire. they seem pretty decent for the money. and 92b16vx: how much are those tires you have?

Yay or Nay on the BFGoodrich g-force's?

yeah i figured those were more for drag but i don't do any autox so i figured it'd be ok. the g-force sports seem to be a more all-around tire and they're only $71 each so that's another option. i would like to get some azenis but i don't think they make them in 205/55/15. i found a site though...

Yay or Nay on the BFGoodrich g-force's?

it's time for new tires on the prelude but i can't afford some new lightweight 16" wheels AND tires so i'm just going to go with some new tires. does anyone have any experience with these bfgoodrich's? they're $99 a tire which is about the limit i want to pay in price. here's a link to the...

    crower stroker kit

i didn't really take the time to add stuff up but i would say AT LEAST $2000. and that would probably include you doing the work yourself (minus the blockwork and pnp or whatever). another option to consider that'd be cheaper would be to buy some type-s pistons for $200 off of hmotorsonline...

    Painted my buddys turbo tercel

did you use base/clear or something else? i know there's paint that you can just shoot and not have to clear between coats. i don't know too much about paint but i think after you wetsand it, you should spray a coat of clear back over it and then wax it. should shine it up nicely. nice job btw.

    i like it!

    Is this a good start?

:concur: and i also suggest a lightweight flywheel since you'll have the motor out of the car. i picked up 3 tenths of a second with my exedy stage 1 clutch and fidanza flywheel. definately worth it. and if you really want to get into it and make a nice potent n/a motor, i suggest swapping in...

    H23 N/A build?

yeah, i realized that after thinking about it. i'd probably be better off with just the vtec (10.6:1) instead of the type-s pistons. it'd probably put me around 11:1 with that.

    custom turbo or turbo kit

go ahead and go the turbo route. building the internals now will not really yield you any power gains and you won't have enough $$$ to build and boost. you can safely boost a stock motor with a reasonable amount of boost (and the right turbo), along with (and most importantly) fuel management...

    H23 N/A build?

the only thing different is the stroke and the compression height of the pistons. that in itself is enough to make the possibility of using these pistons questionable. i guess i'll have to go find someone that has done this before or knows the measurements to figure it out. i just don't think...

    H23 N/A build?

thanks for the replies. i actually found a post from honda-tech that says the deck heights are the same. the only difference between the h22 and h23 pistons are the compression height with the h22 pistons being slightly taller so i'm thinking that some 11:1 type-s pistons might work in my h23. i...

    H23 N/A build?

will h22 type-s pistons work in my '95 h23? i was thinking that it should considering that the bore is the same and the only difference is the stroke. i could get a set from hmotorsonline for $200 shipped. along with bumping the compression from 9.8:1 to 11:1 i was thinking about pnp the head...

    Finished My Swap Pics Inside.

your engine bay looks like a hippie's shirt with all those colors. let's see what we got here....yellow, teal, 2 (maybe 3?) shades of blue, and not 1, not 2, not even fucking 3, BUT 4 different shades of red! that's awesome. now besides the fact that there's no concept of color coordination in...
