Done.
I will initiate a transfer into my paypal account. They usually say that takes about 3 business days. When I transfer the money I will include a comment so you know what it is for.
Thanks,
Paul
As long as everything is in good shape I'll give you $25 for it shipped.
What I mean by "good shape" is that the bolts are not bent or rusting out and the timing belt cover is not bent either.
Long story short....I got a long block from a salvage yard and a few things were in not too good of shape.
Someone has to have some of these laying around that doesn't need them, right?
(Yes I know I could get them from a salvage yard, but c'mon getting to flywheel bolts is going to be a MAJOR...
Okay, thanks for the help guys.
I have a stock clutch with light mileage on it that I will use.
But let me ask this question another way:
How much HP can a stock clutch reliably hold? (Assuming B18A at 130HP stock)
Thanks, Nick.
The polish a local engine builder friend is doing for free and he swears it will add hp so I'm not going to argue with him. But your input is duly noted.
Paul
I'm swapping a OBD0 B18A into my 89 CRX, it's my first build and swap and my daily driver so I'm playing it pretty safe.
Here's what is going in:
JE Pistons, 10.6:1 CR, 281 grams
ACT Streetlite flywheel
Mild polish (no porting) on IM
B18B cams
JG throttle body
K&N cone air filter
I plan to...
Been looking through my manuals and have been able to answer part of the question.
In case anyone else gets themselves into this position: The #1 cap goes on the pulley end and the #5 goes on the flywheel end.
So am I right that the arrows point to the flywheel?
...during the tear down so I could have good reference materials for stuff not covered in my manuals.
The problem I have is my camera card failed (f***ing piece of s**t) and now I am trying to install the crankshaft and I am not sure where the #1 cap goes and which way the arrow should point...
god bless the first amendment that protects forums like this one and allows fucktards like you to expose themselves to the world.
4900+ posts...and I'll bet they were all as insightful as your last

I wasnt pushin bomz..just wandered what brand you bought. go fuck yourself.
Battle pope your point about safety is duly noted....but lets be real....crx is a death trap.
Right on, brothers......but some of you werent listenin when I said I didnt want to shell out 400+ bills for new buckets.
formby, Slammed89Teg & blueSi thanks for the firsthand experiences, only ones that count in my book. :worthy:
vtecpower & sluggishbox thanks for the...
Car is an 89 CRX Si, seats are really starting to look bad, especially on the driver's side where that little bump-out is. Always putting my hand on it to get out of the car.
So was looking around for some replacements, don't really care for the OEMs, and don't want to shell out $400+...
Wow, what a coincidence....I've been looking for a gold plated ls tranny with diamonds to give my wife as an anniversary present. Could you please give out the 4 C's for the diamonds (color, cut, clarity, and carats)?
J/K...but I do need an LS tranny. What's the history? How many miles...
Never mind. I've answered my own question here. (Used the search feature ;) )
Just for reference, if anyone else comes across this and wants to know which bearing color code gets you the right thickness, here's a chart originally posted by 97CTR:
