Which Ecu for B18A in 88 civic DX

the PR4 you seek came in the 90-91 Integra LS and GS. You do NOT want the 92-93 PR4 that came in the 92-93 LS and GS integra. The only reason why a PM6 chipped with PR4 fuel and ignition maps is superior to a PM6 is that the cars are electrically wired subly differently. The PR4 has an input...

    o2 sensor help

    1. Your O2 sensor is supposed to have 4 wires. 2. You can wire the O2 sensor directly to the ECU bypassing the harness, but its kinda silly to do so. It would make more sense to me to trace the wires in your harness and see if they are going to the right place. Use a battery, two paperclips...

Which Ecu for B18A in 88 civic DX

90-91 PR4 would be butter 90-91 PM6 (Si) chipped would be butter as for wiring, its a plain + simple DPFI->MPFI conversion.

    Which ECU?

lots of choices: -JDM P08 - still 1wire, setup for D15b from factory, prob a lil tricky to find -USDM P28 - common as can be, fairly good tuning for a D15B in stock form, easy to find, requires 4wire O2 -Chipped P28 - common as can be, depending on chip/tuning potentially excellent tuning for...

    Dead ECU???

10 = IAT ... check the connections to the intake air temp on the intake manifold. You might have a loose wire or the IAT + idle valve reversed or sumthin.

    P30 Ecu Specs

that depends too cause the OBD1 GSRs open the butterflies with the opposite signal as OBD2 GSRs. :) Gotta love those fucking butterflies.

    back-up mode operation

it *could* be wiring, but in all likelyhood SOLID CEL = dead ECU, particularly if the revlimit is 4000RPM and the idle sucks.

    Would this sell?

look up Game Boy Digital Sampling Oscilloscope sometime... Someone used a custom ROM cartridge and a lotta cool tricks to make a pimpy little toy. I second the notion that a low end Palm would probably give you more flexibility.

    Knock Sensor?????

Regardless of whether you need to replace it (my guess would be no), remember that knock sensors are just specialized microphones. You can generally spoof the knock sensor using either a wirewound resisor or inductor of similar electrical characteristics to the one the ECU is expecting.

The dreaded B18A to OBD1 convo

if the P28 was chipped, you could use a P75 program in it. (yes, you can put non-vtec programs in vtec ECUs but NOT vise-versa) if it is NOT chipped, you will be throwing codes for vtec solenoid and vtec pressure, and the car will probably run lean

open loop vs closed loop on pr3

something isn't right. My bet is that you get a "mugen" PR3 chip from some chipping company. I say this because on the case of my homie's ECU chipped by prospeed it says sumthin almost exactly like that. I've seen a lot of PR3 chips, and they fall into pretty much 3 categories: 1. Modified...

    Switching from p13

sounds to me like you might wanna look into your wiring before you go messing with ECUs. If you have a 94-95 Accord and you swap a H22, you need to move pins around to avoid cooking some ECU parts... Your auto P13 should be throwin a code 19 and that is it. If it's not throwing a code 19 your...

The dreaded B18A to OBD1 convo

you can also chip a P06 with a P75 program - civic ECUs run integra code just fine. Also, you can get a PR4 or P74 ECU but the maps are inferior to P75 maps... Better tuning from the factory in a P75 ECU.

    ECU question

the other option is relatively recent: if you have trouble finding a PR3 or PW0, the 1wire vtec conversion for PM6 is now a possibility. If you're interested, look on pgmfi or contact me or James
