Ok i got the jdm h22a in finally but i got this wierd idleling problem when im just sitting there idle/at a stop/etc
it will rev up from 1000-1800 rpms
BUT it only does this when my headlights or my heater is on
the shop i took it to get the work done says its a short in the harness

yeah mine on my car arent compatible with the h22's so i had to bypass them if you got these let me know how much
im gonna need em off a prelude 92-96 VTEC im not sure if the ones from the 97-01 will work but if they do let me know

ive adjusted the idle with the car on in the past so yeah that might be the problem

ok when im driving around and im about to come near a stop or whatever i put it into neutral and the rpms "should" goto like 700-1000 or w/e right? instead it revs up to 3000 how do i fix this? kinda like a sticky idle
really annoying
i was told it could be iacv or throttle body?
if anyone konws...
ok they got vtec to crack
but it does the total opposite of what its supposed to do
when vtec engages its supposed to make you go faster....but in my case it bogs the car
they had 4 other appointments so they couldnt work on it anymore today

Ok i recently did a h22 swap into my 4th gen and its been runing like shit drove it for 300 + - miles and i finally got it to a performance shop
i was too tired of trying to fix all the problems
my vtec wasnt working i had idling problems
they fixed all the problem
bad timing
valve adjustment...
i tried forcing the vtec but didnt work
i had a performance shop (PRE) take a look at it they said they can fix it but it will take a few hours gonna drop it off thursday
will update then for others who run into problems
they said its my wiring forsure
it looks like crap im gonna slap the guy...
we are rewiring vtec with a new solenoid and pressure switch as well as a new wire for knock
i think i am still in limp mode
my car still surges (reving from 1000-200) when idle
my CEL is not on right now but i know forsure that my stuff isnt workin right
i cant even get to my redline it bounces...
my car has its check engine light on
vtec and knock is hooked up
i am not 100% sure about the vacuum still
when i get on it vtec doesnt kick in...and i cant hit my 7200 redline it bogs down after 6800
can anyone who swapped from f22 to h22 take a picture of their vacuum hoses and send em to me...

I just recently swap a h22 in my f22 prelude and i was wondering if i had to add any extra vacuum hoses, if i could just use my stock f22 ones and be fine? i was told the hoses on the intake were the most important the rest were just smog issues and would not effect the cars performance
