could the code be coming on if i don't have the right wires going into the sensor for the cooling fan? and what are the color of the wires that go to that sensor?
when i get into my car and start it there is no cel but after driving to about where the temp is at normal, the cel comes on and its the ect. after i shut the car off its like it restarts. please help.
i'm having the same problem with my vss on my 98 integra type r swap into a civic. when i'm driving its fine and like you said after about 5-10 minutes the cel comes on but i still have a reading for the speed. what do you think?
i had the same problem with my b18c and i replaced the distributor and it fixed the problem. go to locashracing.com for one. there pretty cheat there and there new.
i have a 99 civic si with a 98 integra type r engine. i have a engine coolant temp code and the sensor has the correct resistance, the sensor has power in and out, and the computer has a signal in and out. i need to have it fixed by saturday so i can sell the thing. please help.
if you have a dvom check the resistance at the air intake sensor. like reckedracing said
when you have this code it just dumps fuel in to be safe so that the car doesn't lean out.
check your spark plugs and see how they look. run the car for a minute than turn if off and check them. if the...
have you looked into the fuel pump. also check the wiring going to the fuel pump for any loose or bad connections. also try and see what the resistance is between the ecu and the distributor.
try to rig it into your intake. you know in the intake where there is a line from the valve cover to the intake, put the hose from the purge canister there. then just put a little filter on the valve cover.
I have an ect code but I have a ref. signal at the sensor and a signal from the ect back to the computer. The sensor has resistance at it so it's good as well. Please help.
The main problem I am having now is that the IAC is getting no voltage in or out. The sensor has only one wire going into it? Does this sound right? If I remember its red with a green trace, I think.
I am using the 99 si wiring harness, and why would I want to switch out the ignition system, it's getting spark, and fuel. Its just that the pcm recognize different signals for starting. The si pcm recognizes signal from the crankshaft fluctuation sensor but the it-r uses camshaft position and...
97CTR. FOR YOUR SWAP DID YOU HAVE TO SPLICE INTO THE DISTRIBUTOR. THEY SAID I HAD TO BECAUSE THE PCM RECOGNIZE DIFFERENT CKP SIGNALS. IS THIS TRUE. WITHOUT THE WIRES SPLICED IN THE ENGINE DIDN'T START. I SPLICED THEM INTO TDC.
