Definitely yes, the cooler you can get anything that is related to the air will help.

Did you recently change the front seal or oil pump or something else? Do you have any pics of the 'dent'? Depending on the condition, it might be able to get fixed or you will have look for another crankshaft and basically do a rebuild because odds are you are not going to find another crank...

what wiring harness are you using?

I have run it both ways, didn't see any difference and the check engine light did not come up once. What is your transmission doing that makes you think it is malfunctioning? Did you do the wiring yourself or did you have someone else do it?

Sell them and get ones that fit your setup. It will save you quite a bit of a headache from happening.

when you check the tps voltage... make sure that the multimeter is set to the right deicmal place so you get the right reading (looks like you were) and do not turn the actual motor on, just turn the key on. so then you can fully open the throttle plate and check to see if the voltage goes up to...

but do you see how the tangs are placed when you do that? how do you suppose there will be good oil lubrication with the tangs on opposite sides? if you really don't see any serious problems, then truly you are lucky and do what you need to do to get it running. and you are right, the king...

did you replace the sensors that came up bad? fix that then do another CEL check, after the codes have been erased.

no its not completely trashed, you have to take it to the machine shop to make sure of it.

yea... .45v is perfect for idle. I would use new small bolts instead of reusing the ones it came with from factory.

true, the timing could be off but usually your car would die at times if it was that bad off. and he is talking about the mechanical timing, not ignition timing.
