So here's an interesting experience.
I went to a Dave and Busters when I was in Myrtle beach last year. I still have the game card, I keep it in the car to scrape frost off the windshield. Stupid little card, says Space Invaders on it, no money on it, no cash value.
I have it sitting in the little area directly in front of the shifter, it's been there for 3 months as a paper weight on top of some napkins and a couple receipts. The area in front of the shifter is surrounded by plastic on 3 sides, and sunken in so nothing can "fall out" of that area.
On the ride home last night I noticed it was no longer there. Called the dealership (realizing I'm now "that guy") and ask them about the card. The service rep I worked with while I was there was not very pleasant, cut me off and said we don't take things from peoples cars, did you look by the seats or on the floor? No, I'm driving but I will. It's been sitting there for 3 months and never "fell" so unless you guys took my car off-roading I don't think it would have just moved on its own. Well sir I suggest you check when you get home. Ok, I'll look for it, it's just very weird because it has no value... and she cuts me off and says well it has no value to us either.
I checked around the seats, under the seats, in the center console, in the glovebox, on the floor, I ever removed the floor mats to see if somehow it got underneath one of them.
I've worked in a shop before. I am very well aware of the people that call and claim something is missing, or that such and such is now broken on their car when it was fine when it pulled in.
The whole thing just completely baffles me. Why would someone take a Dave and Busters card... I know it was there. This is why I hate dealerships.
There is no point in me calling them back, because I turn into some crazy guy calling us about a "missing" card that has no value.
Anyone ever have shit go missing from their cars?
