I heard that the engine wiring harness of all the 1992 models of the civic are the same? is that true?

Cabinwise yes,they all support a tach,clock,etc...enginewise no.The ones that run vtec motors SI,EX,VX all have the vtec plugs and the VX has a unique EGR plug along with different o2 wirings.They can all be made usable in a swap though,by extending and rewiring some things.

the 92's ARE wired for VTEC. the 93-95's are model specific as you stated.
