Trying to find information regarding swappable transmission replacements for the '86 2.0Si Prelude. We've gone through 3 tranmissions in the past 3 months. The first went bad from normal wear at 180k miles. The 2nd & 3rd went from weekend Autocross abuse, usually having the differential tear into pieces.

Are there any other Honda transmissions that can be used?
Are there any aftermarket LSD manufacturers for this application?

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions, we'd really appreciate it.

Any other compatible parts (in general) that can be used will also be helpful in saving us time and money.

This car has only 15" CRX Si rims, 205/50 Advan Tires, and a 2.5" Exhaust, no other mods. It's #1 in it's class (F-Stock) and it's lap times beat every car in the next 5 classes above it.

Thanks to everyone who can contribute.

hey,

check out www.3geez.com. It is a 3rd gen accord forum but the 2g lude is similar. You can use the gears from a 1g teg and put them into a lude housing. Phantom Grip makes an LSD for the 1g teg, so you can use that kit. check the site and ask for "Phydeux". He has a 2g Accord with an A20A3 (weber 45s), lude+tranny swap. He can give you all the part numbers.

Thanks very much for your information...I'll go check these sources right now.

We can't take her to the track, now that the 4th trans' differential is already shitting after a night of mad drifting.

Oh well. Thanks again man.
