ok i bought a 93 civic ex body with a d15b7 they put lx harness on and all, the motor has rod knock. i bought a jdm d15b also known as d15z7. is was wondering what all do i need for this swap off my old motor. the z7 has p08 intake mani not p2j. im wont be converting over to obd2a. ive search but nothing shows up fig honda swap forum would be best help.

did you get the ecu with the engine? there is no obd1 ecu that i know of that will run that engine properly.

no i bought a p28 auto.

well, you'll never really be able to run that engine correctly with that ecu....

so just convert to obd2a basically and buy that expensive ecu????

do i really need both vtec is there anyway around it?
