93 delsol not warming up as fast as before

my 93 delsol doesn't warm up to operating temperature as fast as it used
to . ?? anyone has an idea why?

It takes almost 15 miles of driving to get it to warm up to normal temp
where it used to take about 2-5 miles.

how hard is it to replace the thermostat yourself ?

i heard its almost as easy as changing your air filter, though i havent done it yet. just find the thermo housing connected to your block, unbolt it and pull it off, the thermo is right there. take out the old thermo, put in the new one, then bolt the housing back on. i assume there will be alot of coolant spillage.

dang.. thanks. That's what I thought. May be I'll just have
it done at the local garage and have them flush my rad at the same time
It's been almost 38K miles since my last flush.

Wasn't it recommended that the rad gets flushed every 30K ?

if your coolant is in good shape, you wont even need the coolant flush. Not the most ecco freindly method but what you have to do once the thermostat is out, stick a garden hose inside the hole, and run the water until it comes out clear. Repeat this again for the radaitor (stick hose in top, put bucket at the bottom)
