I don't know how similar your '97 is to my '96, but when I had to have the front wheel bearings replaced, the bearings were part of the wheel bearing hub. Each side took 2.5 hrs of labor. While it is not a big deal to replace, it is time consuming.

but did u have to remove the actual bearings and pack with grease an what not like on older cars , or did it bolt off and bolt a new hub with the bearings sealed inside?

The bearing and the wheel hub were one unit. The old one was removed and the new one put on the spindle.

you are all wrong period i am a mechanic and they are two different parts you need a press to change the stuff out

Sorry. My mistake. I got the front and rear bearing hubs mixed up!
