what gives? i guess if you add active noise cancelling, it's about the same price.

is that a thing she'd want? no idea. i imagine she'll use them at her desk and what not, so maybe she needs to hear around her still a little bit?

ive been using a set of gen 2 airpods forever and my biggest regret is not getting the qi charging case. never bothered with noice cancelling, i usually use them for phonecalls at the home office, and listening to music while cleaning if im not out on the bike in the summer. most of the time it is just one in an ear.

I ended up getting the gen 4 with the noise cancelling, figuring it would be better for her at work.

Well, now she wears them (or one) aroud the house and can't hear anything. ugh. totally regret this purchase (at least the noise cancelling thing).
