I saw more Palm Pres than I have this phone. Then again pretty much everyone I hang around with are iPhone users. I don't know anyone who eats sleeps and breaths Amazon. Maybe if you lived in an area that has all the real life Amazon services like delivery or those lockers it might be useful?
 
lol, the first 30-40s of that is just an ad for the phone. "LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT MY FEATURES! LOOK AT THE THINGS I CAN DO!"

unlocked from carrier, but still full of amazon bloat ware and amazon app store stuff...
 
Looks like people have successfully rooted it. Still, I hated when I got a new phone and had to mess with it right away.
