I'd vote for the RS, but you MAY be able to find a used WRX for that price. Around my area, where they're pretty popular (big tuning crowd + lots of mountain driving in the winter), we're starting to see them around $13k-$14k.

You should hold out for a WRX. Its really your best daily option. You have enough $$$ you just have to be patient for one.

There's your problem, your going by blue book. Blue book is traditionally 10-15% higher than the actual used values of the cars. Thats the reason Carmax LOVES to use KBB. If you want want the dealers use (you can ask them, they carry that biznitch around in their pockets), go to Nadaguides.com
