Hey i was wanting to know if purchasing the lsd tranny w/ the complete changeover on hmotors is worth it, i have heard that having the lsd tranny makes the gearing extremely short, should i go ahead and purchase it or not?

LSDs do not shorten the gear ratios. That would be the final drive or the drivin gears you'd have to change. LSDs help you put more power to the ground by giving power to the wheel with most traction, rather than an open diff that puts power to the wheel with least traction. Think of posi-track, if you come from a dometic car background.

so go with the lsd for an additional $300

get the non lsd and install a quaife lsd. It is way better than the factory one.

you get the BRAKE
The stock lsd is fine on stock engines, you dont need to spend 1000 bucks on an aftermarket diff unless you like wasting money.

The stock diff is a plate type that wears out easily.
