ya know.. the rules said:

format- transparent gif, AND .PSD

and look good over the gradient at the top.

Most of those dont even follow that, none the less, go well with the colors.

it only needs to be transparent if you don't use the entire 52x500 space. also, the only part of the image that has to retain a gradient is the far right side.
