bbk throttle body on b16 crx problems...

i just put a bbk throttle body on my b16, and now it idles above 2 grand, could the wrong tb gasket cause this? i tried to adjust it but the screw only goes in so far... thanks

have you checked the TPS..

no i havent checked the tps yet, would that just go by voltage or if ther is a problem would it throw a cel? thanks

it wouldnt necessarily throw a CEL.. also check the IACV..

should i try to adjust the tps when running or when the car is off? if i need to take a voltage mesurment what wires do i put it on? thanks

after all that it ended up being something with the blade...(not properly shutting)...

you mean the throttle plate isnt sealing.. is the throttle body used?? or did you buy it new?

i bought it used from a buddy, worked fine on his b18 turbo, thought it would be ok for my b16, o well back to stock...thanks

if it was fine on his car, then its most likely something else.. did you change the throttle body gasket when you put it on..

ya i did, three separate times, finally repairing the one that he had used, which did help the problem, but did not fix it. what ended up making me take it off is that i got to idle o.k., but when ide rev it up, it would get stuck between 1200-1500rpm, and i could go out to the throttle wheel and tap it, and would go back to normal.... pain in the ass....
