i have driven all my cars (3) on old plates. ive never gotten temp tags or anything. as long as you have some kind of plate on there cops wont care unless you get pulled over and they check it.

i thought the u-haul trailers only lifted 2 wheels off the ground? if you can get the car completely off the ground, you can tow it without registering it.

It's drivable, but it's an 11 year old Escort that's been sittin around for the past two months. I don't want to drive it to Texas with it pulling to the left. I dunno if hte suspension would hold out.
greyhound bus is time consuming, and if this goes through, which it prolly will now...I don't think I'll have time to come back for it. which will piss TPP off.

My insurance told me that whenever I buy a car, I have 30 days and it is automatically covered. It doesn't have to be registered or anything. If you do get pulled over, just tell the cop that you just bought it and your driving it home and getting it registered first thing tomorrow and tell them you've notified your insurance about this car.
