Best Tranny for Gsr Eg swap

I'm doing a GSR swap into my 1995 eg hatch and was wondering what the best transmission was best for this swap. Best meaning fastest acceleration.

LS cable tranny. If your already using a hydro trans then go with an S80 or Y80 out of a GSR.

I had an LS tranny mated to a GSR in my EF hatch. Put it up against an GSR EF with a GSR tranny and just walked away from him. Long gears + light car = FAST!

uh no. long gears+light car < short gears+light car.

Why do you thing Honda installed close ratio trannies in their sport models and long ass gearing in the econobox models?

Coming from someone who owns both a gsr trans b18c car AND a type r trans b18c car, I can say that I honestly prefer the gsr trans purely because it is not as wound out on the highway. The type r wins in the acceleration game handily because of its close gearing.
