I just bought a 07 civic and took it to a local dealer for what I thought to be a rear bearing going bad. They inform me that it is not a bearing but the tires are "cupped" which is making the roaring noise and recommended replacing them. Mind you that the tires have ~10k miles on them. After reading online I have found that this is a common problem with 06-08 civics because of the upper control arm. The guy in service tells me that because the previous owner didnt have them replaced while it was on warranty, now out of warranty with 47k, that I would have to pay about $500 to have them replace. I find this ludacris for a piss poor design and a problem that should have been addressed earlier. So does anybody know if this problem can be remedied with a camber kit? And if so, who makes a good kit for an eigth gen civic?
