 So its been a very dry winter here and there is a Fire about 10 miles from my house that has burned 300 acres so far. and there is another fire down south of colorado springs. holy hell whats with the fires this year. I was watching the News last night and saw that there is several fires in Texas and Oakahoma.

Fire in Laramer county

ok and tx have been burning for like 3 weeks.... where have you been?

300 acres vs 10 miles is a LOT of burning it has to do to get to you.

but, you can start preparring now.

get some sand bags together.... outline your house with a sand wall.
cut your tree branches... if theres nothing to catch, it can't pass through.
water your lawn.
turn your lawn into dirt.

come spring, you can re-plant your grass and still have a house.

ohh, and make sure you have fire insurance :p

Yeah, sh!ts burning everywhere around here, but then again, its TX, its always dry. We're under a "burn ban"

 have fire insurance, but think i better pull the plasma off the wall and gather all the electronics up. :p fuck the house, let it burn

nah, I guess the fire is contained for now. and yes 10 miles is still far for the fire but you never know, winds could pick up again today

Good thing it's under control though. The only other precipitation we've gotten down in the Metro Area was a little bit of rain over night about a week ago. Probably only rained for like an hour.

its the werdest winter we have had in some time,
