well i have a 42" plasma, not sure if i want to bother with only a slightly larger tv. i want to hang the plasma on the wall in the bedroom and put the larger one in the living room on the stand

i can get a 50" panasonic plasma through an employee accommodation, for like 560 shipped, but i dunno if i want to stick with plasma. its a crazy power hog and is heavy as shit lol.

What kind of money you looking to spend on a home audio system? you want home audio in a box like at best buy or an all out system with floor standing speakers

i think id like to piece together my own set. nothing crazy expensive, but ill pay more for for quality stuff. i should probably learn more about it, cause i dont even know what stuff is priced at these days.

i dont think a HTIB would be what i want. most are spec'd pretty poorly/price when you can probably piece together something MUCH better for a little more. also they all come with a blu-ray/dvd built in, and i really dont need that. probably just good HDMI reciever and 5 decent speakers + sub.

Panasonic makes the best plasma's on the market. I love my 65" plasma. PQ is better than an LCD (Even 240hz, you still see ghosting on fast movement)

Searching for a decent deal on a Dell Ultrasharp IPS panel monitor (preferably 24"). LMK if you guys come across any deals on a comparable IPS panel.. cheapest I've found is 519 on newegg. Meh.

Indeed. There are several other desirable attributes about an IPS panel that has me searching for one over the conventional TN panel.
