Hey guys, just wondering what would be involved in swapping a D16Z6 into my 1996 Civic which currently has a D16Y7 (ick)

I heard all I need to do is find a OBD2 VTEC ecu, and change the connector on the alternator?? Is it really that easy??

Any input is appreciated, thanks. :D

use your stock d series alt. that you have in your civic now it is easier then switching the plugs ou the wiring harness. the ecu if you want use an obd2a to obd1 ecu harness and use a p28 and call it a day since you are using an obd1 engine you are going to have some sensors that your obd2 wiring is going to look for that your obd1 engine doesn't have. i hope that helps you out

Now that i think about it, i suppose i will have to wire in the VTEC as well.....

So:
new ecu
conversion harness
swap over alternator

shit that sounds easy, thanks

unless anyone can think of anything else??
