differences in wiring harness: manual vs auto?

hey,
i have a b18c in a 96 DX. i am running a modified dx harness (ghetto-fab-ed by local shop) and now i think i should just replace the harness with a 96-98 obd2a ex harness.

i found one but its for an automatic, is there anyway i can use it?

I think you'd have a couple extra plugs, meant for the Auto tranny, but they would just be unused. I won't swear to it, but I'm pretty sure.

Also, make sure that the main plugs before the firewall match up exactly. It'd be a shame to pick up a new harness just to find out it won't plug in.

thanks tab but i'm gonna be getting this harness through ebay so i can't test fit the harness.

i guess if anyone who's done a auto to manual conversion would know this??

I have done auto to man on a crx and all that was left over were extra wires...can't say for sure on your car...ask the seller for pics of the plugs and compare to your ecu

the only difference should be the plugs on the tranny.
