..is grounded.
i haven't been able to stop wondering lately how many CRXs are still 'out there' and i've gone as far as to try lots of google searches using words like 'statistics' and 'registered cars' and the obligatory make/model stuff, but i haven't gotten anywhere.
am i the only one that sits around wondering how many <fill in the blank> cars are left?
the closest reference i've gotten was actually an article about the most stolen car of 'x' year and referenced CCC Information Services Inc. and the article said something about CCC taking the total number of registered vehicles in the US and then blahbiddyblah, so i went to their site thinking 'yeah i can find some statistics stuff here' - but no...
even the used car searches only let you search cars that are a) listed for sale and b) within a certain zip or distance range.
so my question for you guys: anyone ever heard of a way to figure out how many of a particular make/model car are still registered or operating in the US? i just want a good anonymous estimate - i don't need to know where the cars are or who owns 'em or anything.
like, how many did honda make, how many of them made it to the US, and how many of those haven't been scrapped?
anyone with anything remotely on-topic to share, i'm all ears.
