Maybe my definition of "from XXX place" and your definition are different? If I moved to "ct" (quoting you being NOT from ct), that doesn't mean I'm from ct. I'm right. so fuck you. I'm right.
 
It says they are military so they have likely been bouncing from base to base. Judging by their behavior they are probably from the Midwest somewhere.

I'll tell you what the "something more" is.

They probably caught them dumping the wrappers and called them out on it. I'm betting it was a clear case of theft.
