Hey everyone, I’m just welcoming myself to k series questions and also first time forum poster.

So I recently bought an 09 accord coupe k24z3 5 speed MT. The car had the typical VTC actuator problem rattling like crazy.

So long story short I think I ended up jumping timing and I’m not to great with engine internals and would rather swap the engine. To me that’s easier and I’m the DIY type. But I’m getting a lot of mixed info on what engines I can swap in.

I know the TSX, CRV, element, and accord share the k24 but there are differences. So other than the obvious accord being direct pull and place engine, can and of the other k24 vehicles be pulled directly from the donor to my accord without modifying or tuning?

Probably, but it probably won't be ideal. The variants on the k24z3 all have different compression ratios and likely fuel maps or ecus. I'm certainly no expert on these engines, but if you're looking to be safe and not hit dead ends, try to get the exact year and make.
