Hi!

I have a 1992 Honda Civic VTi with a EDM P30 ECU. I've been trying to find out what is needed to have this socketed and chipped. The problems is that the EDM/JDM ECU's have flat-soldered pins, and not the small holes in the circuit board that the pins go thur. How will this make the socketing process?

If you know about articles or posts that describe this subject, I'll gladly read up on it more :) Thanks for your help!

Edit:

I took the liberty of search a bit, and came up with a few parts that may come in handy:

M27C256B-80F1 - 32K8 - 80ns - 35 USD for 10

DIL 28 pin socket from glasspolyester - 50 USD for 50

If I understand it correctly, I will also need a few other components. Which ones? Again, P30 - OBD1.
