EG swap obd2>1 sensors etc swap theory
My head is spinning from about an hour of searching that answered some of my questions but alas I still have questions that need answers; so please bare with me; This is all relative to what I will be doing in actuality but to save a lot of explanation and useless rhetoric. I understand how repugnant the concept of what I am asking may be to you but just trust that it is for good reason and I will explain after one or some of you guru's gives me some info.
If I were to be swapping an LS engine into an EG using an OBD2 ('B' to be specific) wiring harness jumpered down to OBD1 what are my options?
*I HAVE TO use a PR4 manifold for clearance issues so I need to know what sensors I will need- can I used the obd1 sensors from the manifold, will the clip into the harness without modification? since they are quite similar iirc. OR can/should I just use obd2 manifold electronics
* would it be more work than its worth to hack up the distributor and harness in order to use an obd1 distributor?
is there anything that I am forgetting other than injector clips/resistor box?
Please point out any holes in my theory and/or things I am leaving out.
Any help is greatly appreciated as I need to get my project moving!
once again, I realize that these questions might be a little redundant in this board but my searching produced little help.
thanks,
