I have a 91 civic hatch. I will soon be doing either a b16 or b18 swap. Does anyone know of an exhaust system that doesnt sound like a dirtbike, I want something deep and low I dont care if its loud but I dont want it be real high pitched. I also would like something that doesn't run paralell with the rear of the car. Just about every exhaust system that I have seen for 88 to 91 civics run sideways across the back of the car and I think it looks like shit, I want one that runs straight out the back. ANy help would be greatly appreciated.

If you want one that exits strait out the back, you are going to have one custom made. the problem with this is the pipe may hit the rear sway bar, if you have one.

I had a Greddy PE modified to do that and it was constantly hitting the swaybar.

tanabe goes straight out no to the side and out. But i dont know what sound you are looking for. My bud has the super racing medallion on his 90 si and it goes straight out

any greddy or apex exhaust will be nice, especially the WS and Medallion

look at an invidia exhuast for a crx. it exits slightly angled, similar to the HKS system for a toyota supra. i was looking at one for my hatch, and i PMed RyanWolf about his invidia, and he said alot of good things about it. Streetrays.com has them, but you can find them for about $20 cheaper from some other sites.

im planning on getting one down the road.

no, the muffler for the civic is in the middle and has a short extention with a tip where it exits. and the crx is as above. im pretty sure they will bolt up the same, if not use some afro american ingenuity. thats what i plan on doing. if need be.

me too. all euros/altezzas are cheap and look like ass. i dont see anything wrong with stock lights. I mean if you have to change them get JDM ones, they cost the same, and look like they belong on the car.
