what is the easiest way to get power to a screen i wanted to use the cigarette lighter i thought that would be easiest is it possible thanks

What year is your car ?
If the screen is getting mounted high on the dash, then your clock power should be good enough to get to. Unclip the clock, and there is an easy to tap connector behind it. You'll also find lighting (to go with your interior lighting dimming) in that connector. It's simple and easy.
If you have a deleted a clock - then the connector is still there.

run 12v from the battery with an inline fuse, and a switch to power your screen?

run 12 v power from your radio, or your ignition harness. Just make sure it has the proper size inline fuse.
