good 300+ hp turbo setup?

As you may already know, my allmotor cams just took a nose dive. I've been doing alot of thinking/researching and it is time to go turbo. The car could be considered a daily driver, however, it will not be driven daily. More of a weekend/play car. Obviously reliability is an issue here. I am going to list the products that I would like to run and i'd appreciate any comments on them.

Chasis: 1990 honda civic dx hatch. Gutted.

Goal: 300+ whp
Funding: ~$4500

* = things i already have (not included in $4500 price range)

Engine
Block: b18a1 darton sleeved to 84mm ($1300 including labor)
Rods: Eagle Rods & ARP rod bolts
Pistons: IB Spec pistons, Arias, JE, SRP, ? Which? What compression?
New VTEC Water & Oil pumps

Head
B16A Head; New LMA's*
Cams: Which Cams? Will stock GSR cams do fine or should I look into like crower turbo cams etc?
Retainers: Comp Cams Titanium retainers*
Springs: Comp Cams chrome-silicon valve springs*
Valves: KMS Nitride Coated SS Std. Valves
Mild Port Work*
ITR Intake Mani*

Management
Hondata s200b
Hondata p28 ECU*

Which fuel pump would be sufficient?
What size injectors would be ideal?
Dynotuned by inline-pro

Turbo
Would a log-style manifold be sufficient? Or is an equal-length mani necessary for that kind of power? If not, Probably Lovefab SST Manifold
Precision SC50
TiAL 38mm wastegate BUT, how much boost would I need to run for 300+ whp with the SC50 turbo?

sounds good for the most part.

I'd go with a Bensons over a darton though

IB spec 9:1 -> 9.4: 1 is a good range
stock gsr cams are fine for boost...
i think you're goin too crazy on the head work for only 300 hp. a stock b16 head will get you there fine.

B&M sucks. Aeromotive all the way.

a good log will make that power- inlinrpos' mani is damn good.
38mm WG will be fine. get a .9 bar spring

If your buying new valves, stay with stainless on the intake and go inconel on the exhaust side. everything else pissedoffsol stated is the way to go.
 
you don't need any of that shit. get a descent turbo setup and you can easily make 300 with proper engine management. if you want to be really safe or push more like 350 hp you could get pistons and rods and valvesprings.

things that are a waste of money (for that power level):

sleeves
headwork
cams
valves
equal length manifold

the intake manifold may also be a good idea but it really not necessary by any means. i would just run the usual walbro 255lph in tank pump. an inline pro manifold and a precision intercooler.

if you have the money for all that other stuff, go for it. but it is not needed for that power level AT ALL.
 
how much does an equal length manifold affect spool time?

also, wich/what head gasket would I use for b18a1 84mm bore and b16a head?
stock b20 head gasket?
 
84mm = CRV B20 gasket

I'm with ndogg on this one. I'm seeing more and more stock GSR motors make it up in the high 290s / low 300s on small precision turbos, 10psi of boost and stock engines. That's running uberdata or crome not hondata too... If your goal is 300whp, then you don't really need to be dropping for the sleeving or even the rods+pistons (although the rods would be very nice to have)...
 
well i can afford and would like to have everything above, so what kind of HP could i push safely? closer to 400 or 425 would be f'ing awesome. Would a SC61 easily support 400 horses?

yes, an sc61 can easily support 400hp. if you do all that shit that you say you are going to do... your engine will be capable of easily supporting over 600whp with tuning. thats why it is FUCKING OVERKILL for a street car. it is literally like throwing your money away, you will see no benefits. if you want 300hp, you can buy a turbo kit and run it at 12psi and get 300hp on a stock block. or you can buy all that other shit, wasting thousands of dollars on sleeves and manifolds, then you will be able to get 300 hp at only 10psi!!! who cares?

LS trannys suck ass. they are good for only 1 thing. cruising on the freeway. if you want a fast drag car... you will want a GSR tranny.
