got skunk2 camshafts for xmas

my uncle owns a local speedshop where i get most my parts from.for the obvious reasons. he gave me a set of skunk2 camshafts for xmas...but my valve train is completly stock...would it hurt to put the shafts in until im able to get new valves,springs and retainers? right now i have itr cams running good

shouldn't be a problem until stage two cams. I would upgrade anyway if you have the head off. just for insurance. I got my skunk2 stage 2 cams in the mail, but I had to pay for mine, but I got the skunk2 springs and retainers too.

you will be fine then .... dont expect much of a gain though ... the stage 1s are not much more agressive than the stock ITRs
