TYPE S PISTONS WILL FIT A H23 NON VTEC MOTOR WITHOUT ANY MODIFICATIONS? THEY GIVE MORE POWER? PLEASE HELP ME TO GET MORE HORSEPOWER WITHOUT SPEND A LOT OF MONEY.
yes the pistons will fit the only thing that you have to worry about is the piston hitting the head because the only difference between the h22 and the h23 is the stroke. what you should do is find the compression for the type s pistons and look at the highest that a company like je supplys then you can tell if they will work. they will give you horse power and if you have a 92-96 engine then its a cheaper alternative than using the high performance pistons because if you use the high performance pistons then you will have to get the block sleeved which cost from 900 to 1200 dollers.
There's not as much to worry about regarding the valves hitting the pistons, since the H23 doesn't have the higher lift of VTEC. Although it would still be safe to clay the engine to make sure there's no impaction going on.
