HAving problems with with tach

this is my first post on this forum but i have looked around anyhow i have a 97 civic ex that i just dropped in a 00 si motor (b16a2) i have no check engine light or anything runs good untill i hit vtec once in vtec both my stock and aftermarket tach start going crazy and my car studers any idea what it could be i am also staying obd2 i am using the si ecu

hmmm.. i think your motor is obd2b and your car is obd2a.. thats my guess..

yes your right but i have the obd2a to obd2b jumper from rywire so it should work right

not too sure then.. check your grounds
