By December 2004, I will try and have my boosted "d" series down to 12 seconds, full interior, daily driven.

I have recently come to the conclusion that this is completely feasible and possible.

figure 300whp on a t3 with the engine being built as much as possible (wihtout going "too overboard"). A few simple NON-descript weight reductions coupled with H&R's and a decent set of tires and a lsd on my tranny should do the trick.

This thread is not intended to offer any insightful thoughts and/or relevant information.

If anything, id like to hear your guy's opinions on my goal. and yes i do know that had i originally gone "B" series, my goal would be readily obtained....

so take your chastises elsewhere...

But i see no reason why 12 seconds daily driven cannot be achieved with only 2500 or so more in mods....

I just hope you dont go nuts on the boost. I have seen many a D series fall prey to the weak bottom end that is in that engine.

I pray for your car...may it never experience that horror.

i got $5 that says no :)

Ill pm you my paypal address a year from now

im sure there is a way to reliable do it. as long as i DONT go over a pre-determined budget (of which i have not determined how much 12 seconds is currently worth to me) im ahead of the game.

if guys can hit 13 seconds using the 15g and 15psi....

there should be no excuse (traction?) for me not to hit 12's on a t3.

out of curiosity....

has anyone ever seen a streetable 12 second d series that lasted more than a month?

Yes, Daniel's over at Intercrew. He pushed out 299.x whp on the dyno on his built and boosted D series. I never saw him run the quarter mile with his current setup, but I know it's a 12 second car. He's been driving it daily on this turbo configuration for at least 6 months. He IS getting tired of it though... wants to drop a B block in and go for even more power.

I am sure a D series can reach 12's on boost, but I have also heard the same thing about the engine taking a poo on you, because of the boost. Good Luck.

DO they even make LSD's for the D-series? And no, Phantom Grip is not considered a true LSD IMO. What are the specs of the turbo?

Yes, they make LSDs for the D series transmissions. I believe Daniel is using a T4 60-1, not sure of the trims...

Nice Tony. Shooting for 100 whp more than me huh? Lots of luck! I don't see why you couldn't. Low c/r pistons, turbo cam, big i/c, LOTS of tuning and God smiling down on you and you're there! I would honestly love to see you nail even near 300 on that D. Finaly shut these B fuckers up. You know who you are... %95 of the users here! I think that you could get close enough to 300 so that if you needed to, you could just spray like a 30 shot to hit 300. ;)

 to the D baby!

bisi ezerihoha was running 10's in his all-motor D15b1 NON-VTEC crx...so im sure that running 12's with a boosted D should be very possible. good luck!
