[post=546193]Quoted post[/post]

some idiot on his tercel board told him that the paint wouldnt stick to the bumpers. i decided to test this theory. :)

He was wrong, wasn't he.

Looks good Chris, You're the only one of us actually getting shit accomplished - Be proud.

okay so then i gues it was just a single stage paint? No clear
[post=546197]Quoted post[/post]

its got some sort of acrylic hardener in it. trav's car didnt scratch easy, so im not very worried about mine.

also, update on the tercel, travis is pissed since mine came out better. it helps to read the gun directions :) we sprayed his with a 1.4mm insert, which didnt lay down enough paint. we sprayed mine with the 2.0mm insert.

he JUST bought a gallon of WR blue for his WRX lookin tercel.

Tell Travis his friends here at Hondaswap said "NO" then we hit him with a newspaper, and rubbed his face in it.

A WRX hoodscoop, gold-ish wheels and now the WRC Crystal Blue ? He would officially enter the world of Rice - Reminds me of that site from Cooper that has copy-cat Cooper cars.

well, the hoodscoop is functional due to the TMIC that sits under it. ;)

but unlike our cars, his car is turbocharged and kinda fast.

lol yeah

i think it looks cool as it is. blue is gonna look gay.

it does look nice but there are random spurts of green all over the car.

hes got tons of time and money, so if he doesnt like it he has no problem sanding it down again and spraying it another color.

Unlike "our" cars ? Yours, mine and Claytons ? Dude, you haven't seen the Fleet lately, have ya ?

-> Steve

There is no way I'm getting beat by a Tercel. I used to own one, no way.

Were his bumpers flat black or painted before? If they were just flat plastic, then sure, your auto paint will go on it... just dont touch it or tap into anything... it'll crack... unless you put flex in the paint, and use a good plastic adhesion promoter, as well as a flexible primer.

Oh yeah, I know. Turbo, yadda yadda. My CRX isn't a regular CRX either.

My Civic may even beat him.
