what cams and other upgrades should i make???

Call up cam manufacturers and see what they recommend for that compression and the RPM range you're looking at. 12.4:1 can support some pretty aggressive cams on street tunes. Upgrade your valvetrain if you get big cams. Port your head if it's off the block.

Make sure the 12.4:1 is in the GSR block and not the B16- there's a difference. That will affect what parts you choose to finish the head.
