how do i know when my fuel pump is going

my prelude has 165000 i feels like my care is slowing down. some times it dosnt want to start and it feels like the car is hesitating could this be the fuel pump thanks

fuel pumps just DIE, they don't really fade away... When's the last time you changed your fuel filter?
