How do you reprogram the remote to work with car?

The keyless entry on my bro's Acura GSR just stopped working yesterday. He just changed the batteries so the remote works but not with the car. The stock alarm sounds off when we open the door through the key so we just disconnected the alarm. Does anybody know how to re-sync the remote to the car? It is the stock Acura remote keyless entry. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

Acura dealer does it. Unless you have a factory honda tool
