How To Change Offset?

i was wondering if there was a way to change the civic's wheel offset from 44 to 42 or vice versa. does it include changing the whole stud assembly? pls. help and thank you in advance.

change the wheels for ones with the offset you want
or there might be spacers you could get

a hub doesn't have anything to do with it.

offset is on the wheel itself. its the relation of the bolt center to the wheel's front

H&R sells spacers, but they are not cheap.
