well right now i have a f22 in the accord and i just found a f23 vtec engine will that work with my trasmission will the transmission handle it, and will i have to change the ecu also? and about the b20 someone said that if i use a crv block in my accord it will be fast, is that true or not??
Did you read anything in my previous post?
All of the F and H-series motors and transmissions will bolt up to each other. So yes, the F23 engine will bolt up to your F22 tranny, and yes, the transmission will be able to "handle it". The F23 doesn't really make that much more power than the motor you already have, so it shouldn't stress out the transmission.
You will need the F23's ECU. Honestly, I would probably skip this motor. The F23 is wired for OBD2, so you're gonna have to do some major wiring or buy a conversion harness to do this swap. In my opinion it's not really worth it, considering you're only gaining about 15 horsepower.
And once again, did you not read what I said about the B20 in my above post?
It's not a direct swap into your car. It would require completely custom mounts, and they would have to be custom fabricated; no companies make a mount kit to put a B-series into an Accord.
And why is that?
Like I said above, why the hell would you want a B20 in your car? It's smaller and makes less torque than the F22 that you already have! You would spend a crapload of money to make this swap work, and you'd end up with a slower car! Totally pointless...
Whoever told you that it would work and that it would be fast is either full of crap, or doesn't know jack about Honda tuning...
