ok, the lxR needs a heart transplant. shes still got some miles left in er, but i got smoked by a hyundai last night, and i need a motor with more hp, and something with a freaking aftermarket! i am broke, so i need a motor that wont cost me through the nose. i have opted for the venerable d16z6. so, if anyones got one after their swap or whatever, let me know. i live in ia, so shipping might be an issue. zip is like 50702. hit me up.
 
i know someone that has a swap for like 550 or 500, search on here, not sure if he still has it?

what do you have now? sohc d series?
why not do mini me, just need a head... speaking of which...
 
you dont just 'need a head'. dont you need to plumb for oil, change ecu, etc? yeah, right now im packing a d15b7 with some cold start valve noise. theres a z6 locally for 450, so it needs to be lower than that. but thanx for the help anyway. any help is greatly appreciated.
 
i just put a GSR into my civic.. i have the sohc.. the only problem is its a d16y7..
it has the y8 head... no ecu and the block needs built.. it has a bent rod..
