i have a crx with a stock lsv with ls pistons,,,,,,he has lsv with b16 head, skunk stg 2 cams, edlebrock itm and a 70mm thtl bodie and type r pistons(teg).... on a 92 civic hb chasis... he runs a 13.9 on 15' street tires. i run a 14.9 @96.9mph .... thats the only competition around.... for those who know my set up....how can i beat him....i need to beat him.... i have a grand to spend...i need this....he is a dick

Just make sure and beat him on the first try, because that's probably the only try you're gonna get.



edit: seriously...buy a ZEX 75 shot. I've seen nitrous do good things...sorta. The guy I bought my hatch from had a 93 hatch with a GSR swap and a 50 shot. Without the nitrous he ran 14.6 on street tires and 14.2 on radials, and with the NAWWWSSS he ran 12.20's consistently on radials. Also, couplea friends of mine here have a 91 hatch thats quasi-built for drag....tokico struts, skunk2 drag launch springs, gutted interior, fuel cell, etc. with a stock B16, my old CTR tranny, my old ported ITR header, 2.5" straight pipe, AEM intake, and a ZEX 75 shot. Without nitrous it ran 13.47 on slicks, and 11.91 with the spray. Consistently.

So I'd have to say get yourself a ZEX kit for $600ish and bet the kid $400 on the race. Just don't misshift.

dont rev that bish over 8200 on the stock ls block. what kind of head do you have? Also how much time you got to spare? if possible get better pistons and rods, and skunk2 cams. IF NOT, THEN NAWWZZ IT

first, get some radials. next step, take everything that you dont need out, back seats, spare tire, passenger seat, whaever you can. then id say buy a 75 shot.

..well the block has arp rod bolts and i rev to 7.9-8.2k.... i dont want to tear the block open again....and i have a b16 head.....

Im with them nos/tires best things you can do with your money to get to that level- if you had more persay couple grand i would say turbo it because it takes a lot of ghettofying to be a ghetto rig ninja

clean out your car (seats, spare tire etc) too before you go out, hey..whatever helps man. oh, and id put a few good launchs on the bfgs before you go to meet him, id do atleast one right before yo umet up with him at the spot.
